Approximately 4.8 grams in weight, Linkbuds S is the world‘s smallest and lightest, noise canceling, Hi-Res truly wireless headphones. We've kept the size down by both developing a compact driver and integrating the Bluetooth® Audio SoC (System on Chip) and high quality noise cancelling processor in one single chip. It’s 40% smaller than the WF-1000XM4.

We’ve designed LinkBuds S utilising extensive ear shape data collated since introducing the world’s first in-ear headphones in 1982, as well as evaluation of the sensitivity of various types of ears to ensure an ideal shape that is comfortable for many people.

LinkBuds S automatically switches between Ambient Sound Mode and noise cancelling depending on where you are and what you're doing.

Adaptive Sound Control is a smart function that senses where you are and what you’re doing, then adjusts ambient sound settings for the ideal listening experience. Over time, it learns your behaviour and recognises locations that you frequently visit, such as your workplace or a favourite café, and tailors sound to suit the situation.

With Precise Voice Pickup Technology that optimally controls microphones on the outside and inside of the earbud, and advanced audio signal processing, conversations are ultra clear, even in noisy environments. Using Edge-AI (Artificial Intelligence), DSEE Extreme™ upscales compressed digital music files in real time. Dynamically recognising instrumentation, musical genres and individual elements of each song, it restores high range sound lost in compression.

Listen safely with Sony | Headphones Connect app

Check how safely you’re listening to music by comparing sound pressure data recorded by your headphones with guidance of the World Health Organisation (WHO). Receive OS notifications when listening levels are too high. LinkBuds S also feature intuitive touch control settings. You can assign your own functions to each earbud using the Headphones Connect app.

Talk and hear only ambient sound

You can set Speak-to-Chat to automatically pause the music as soon as you speak to someone, so you can hear just ambient sound and conduct a conversation – handy if you want to keep your headphones on or your hands are full. And once your chat is over, your music starts playing again automatically.

Instant pause. Instant play.

Just take the earbuds out of your ears and the music stops – a proximity sensor knows when you are wearing one or both earbuds. Pop the earbuds back in and the music starts again.

Control with your voice

Get hands-free help – Just say "Hey Google" or "Alexa" to activate your preferred voice assistant. Listen to music, connect with friends, get notifications, set reminders, and more. You can even control your headphones features like noise cancellation with your voice, listen to and interact with emails in Microsoft Outlook, and join Microsoft Teams meetings using Google Assistant or Siri.

LinkBuds S features intuitive touch control settings – for example, tap on the left earbud to change from Noise Cancelling to Ambient Sound and long tap for Quick Attention, or double tap on the right to skip to the next track.

With Quick Access, you can configure these wireless earbuds to resume Spotify music playback or Endel personalised soundscapes with two or three taps – no need to touch your smartphone. 

Find your headphones with Fast Pair

LinkBuds S supports Google’s helpful new Fast Pair feature. It lets you easily locate where you left your headphones by tone sound, or checking their last known location in Google’s Find My Device app on your smartphone.

Easy pairing with your computer

Swift Pair makes it quick and easy to pair your headphones with your Windows 11 or Windows 10 laptop, desktop PC or tablet. Pop-up pairing guidance appears on nearby Windows 11 or Windows 10 devices when pairing mode is selected.

Parts of the body and case of LinkBuds S in Earth Blue are made from factory-recovered plastic and reclaimed water bottles, in addition to recycled plastic materials from automobile parts. This gives them their characteristic marble pattern. Inevitable variations in the marble pattern mean that no two pairs of LinkBuds S in Earth Blue are quite the same.

Multipoint connection

For total convenience, these Bluetooth® headphones can be paired with two Bluetooth devices at the same time. So when a call comes in, your headphones know which device is ringing and connect to the right one automatically. You’ll also be able to quickly switch your headphones to either of the two devices at the touch of a button.
